Ron White (president) and AJ Ream (vice-president) attended the Officer Rendezvous in Stanton, AZ. Each of the 16 Chapter's in attendance donated $30.00 for building material and the week was devoted to improving the LDMA property at Stanton. Work was completed on a cover for the panning station, and repairs/restoration continued on one of the original buildings. A common dig was set up on Atelope Creek. The daily meetings discussing ideas for promoting the chapter and final drawings were held in the Opera House. Breakfast and supper were prepared on site, and available for purchase. If you ever get the chance to attend an outing at Stanton, you can see the plaque recognizing the work of your 2009 Iowa GPAA chapter officers.
